Ahead of Mother's Day on Sunday, we're celebrating the working parents and carers of Cosine.
Hear what our people have to say about being a working parent/ carer...
Firstly, I want to say that being a mum is a special gift – one I never take for granted. I know I am truly lucky, but who knew it could be so hard!
I’m now a mum of a 19-year-old girl and a soon-to-be 18-year-old boy or independent man (as he tells me!). Everyone told me, it gets easier as they get older. Mmmmm, I’m not sure that is true. You just get presented with different problems and navigating it today in the world of social media and post covid is not for the faint-hearted.
As a working parent at Cosine, I know all about the juggling act of trying to balance kids with work and everything else. Thankfully, Cosine has a strong sense of family – and in Cosine, we mean all different types of families, no matter how they are made up of. Families are important, and here at Cosine we have an open and flexible working culture that helps make things a little easier.
I am respected for showing up for my children as much as my clients.
My output is what matters, not the hours I deliver it in.
I love working for a company that believes in family first, allowing me the flexibility for me to balance work and being a mum.
I am also grateful to escape to an office full of great people, and good coffee!
Cosine has supported me with coming back to work on a flexible basis, I reduced my hours so that I get a better work-life balance and always allowed me to work from home if needed.
Having the support from my manager and team has really given me the boost I needed on days I was sleep deprived, at home with poorly kids and working or generally feeling overwhelmed with what life was throwing at me.
Being a Mum is one of the most rewarding things in life and being able to work, doing what I love so much, alongside being their Mum is a DREAM!
